Technically, the regulations 2024 remain unchanged.

From 2024 there will be the newly created “rookie class” RC – Raid Class.

Participants in the RC will complete shortened rally stages WITHOUT timekeeping. As in the other competition classes, the basis are road book and GPS navigation. The evaluation is then based solely on the penalty times received for missed waypoints, missed CPs, etc. The time required to complete the special stage is NOT included in the ranking. In the RC it is NOT about achieving top speeds. Accordingly, there are no other safety requirements in this class other than helmets and seat belts.

4×4 vehicles with an empty weight of up to 3,499 kg are eligible to take part in the RC class.

With the introduction of this new class, we want to make it easier than in the previous CS class for everyone to gain their first experience in competition without major financial and technical effort

Today I received the information that the last group of participants is back in Germany on time and without any problems after 3 weeks in Tunisia.
This means our Sahara Tour de Tunisie 2023 is finally finished.

For us, this begins our preparation for next year – then hopefully with a large starting field in the rally competition again.

We will publish the event date for 2024 shortly.

After evaluating all the data and tracks from the previous tour, the road books are now ready for printing.

We decided to change the previous design:

Larger pictures, more information, but above all the changed reading direction, now from top to bottom, improve the use significantly.

As before, we will make the road books available as a booklet, as a roll or as a pdf file.
