Für einige von euch betrug die Wartezeit letztendlich fast 2 Jahre. 

Doch nun ist es endlich soweit. Nachdem ja im Normalfall bei allen die Aufmerksamkeit auf das Einsatzfahrzeug oder das Equipment gerichtet ist, war in diesem Jahr alles anders:

PCR-Test, ja oder nein? Einreise auch für ungeimpfte Personen? Welche Voraussetzungen sind noch zu erfüllen? Quarantäne, oder doch nicht?

Die Fragen nahmen kein Ende. Endgültige Klarheit gab es erst vor 10 Tagen.

Und dann kam die Bürokratie: Elektronische Anmeldungen für Italien, für Tunesien, auf dem Rückweg erneut für Italien und dann für das eigene Land. Einiges davon musste gedruckt und unterschrieben werden. Außerdem noch Formulare für die Verhaltensregeln an Bord der Fähre und in Tunesien selbst, ebenfalls gedruckt und unterschrieben. Und für den check-in am Flughafen oder zur Fähre – ein Travel-Voucher als Eintrittskarte.

All das ist jetzt vergessen. Die Vorfreude auf eine tolle Rallye im Süden Tunesiens überwiegt. Wie für uns beginnt auch für viele Teilnehmer bereits morgen die Anreise nach Tortona, wo am Freitag die technische Abnahme stattfinden wird.

For some of you that was nearly 2 years of waiting.

But now the time has finally come. Since normally everyone’s attention is focused on the rally vehicle or the equipment, everything was different this year:

PCR test, yes or no? Entry also for unvaccinated persons? Which requirements still have to be met? Quarantine, or not?

There was no end to the questions. The final clarity came only 10 days ago.

And then came the bureaucracy: Electronic registrations for Italy, for Tunisia, on the way back again for Italy and then for your own country. Some of it had to be printed and signed. There are also forms for the rules of conduct on board the ferry and in Tunisia itself, also printed and signed. And for check-in at the airport or to the ferry – a travel voucher as an entrance ticket.

All of that is now forgotten. The anticipation for a great rally in the south of Tunisia predominates. As we self, many participants will begin already tomorrow their journey to Tortona, where the technical scrutineering will take place on Friday.
