With the transfer to the port and our journey home on the Carthage, the ElChott 2021 rally is now coming to an end for the last participants also. Tonight, with a last cocktail, we look back on an event that was ultimately able to be carried out without noticeable restrictions in times of Corona and the extensive preparatory measures associated with it.
In the hope of being able to travel under “normal” conditions again next year, we are already announcing the date for 2022 today.

For some of you that was nearly 2 years of waiting.
But now the time has finally come. Since normally everyone’s attention is focused on the rally vehicle or the equipment, everything was different this year:
PCR test, yes or no? Entry also for unvaccinated persons? Which requirements still have to be met? Quarantine, or not?
There was no end to the questions. The final clarity came only 10 days ago.
And then came the bureaucracy: Electronic registrations for Italy, for Tunisia, on the way back again for Italy and then for your own country. Some of it had to be printed and signed. There are also forms for the rules of conduct on board the ferry and in Tunisia itself, also printed and signed. And for check-in at the airport or to the ferry – a travel voucher as an entrance ticket.
All of that is now forgotten. The anticipation for a great rally in the south of Tunisia predominates. As we self, many participants will begin already tomorrow their journey to Tortona, where the technical scrutineering will take place on Friday.
