After a busy first week and six demanding stages, the participants arrived in Douz . In addition to shower and pool the participants are happy to have a stable Internet access.

The search for major spare parts has already been successful for some participants . So all teams will restart into the race tomorrow. The only exceptions are Mühmel (D)/ Lottermoser (D) – ( Polaris RZR ) and Berlitt (D)/ Berlitt (D ) – (Herrador V6), both with engine failure. Moreover, Novak (SLO)/ Leskovec (SLO) – (VW Amarok) and Kolomý (CZ) / Kilian (CZ) / Kilian (CZ) – (TATRA 815 Dakar) are missing. Both are as participants in the next Rally Dakar in time pressure, since their vehicles need to be revised before sea crossing to South America.

But the ranking at half time is still exciting . Štefan Svitko (SK) – (KTM) fighted his leadership back, after lost it in special stage 02 to Reiner Fink (D) – (Husqvarna).

In summary of all cars are Arendt (D)/ Maurer (D) – (Land Rover Defender) by a large margin in front. Behind it remains exciting between Möbus (D)/ Vetiska (A) – (Mitsubishi Pajero) , Sołtys (PL)/ Afeltowicz (PL) – (Toyota Landruiser) and Gharib (D)/ Földi (D) – (Landrover Defender).
