… we present the final routes of the El Chott 2022.

After evaluating of our pre-tour recordings, we will publish the daily stages with transfers and special stages in detail. Unfortunately we were not able to get a comprehensive permission for routes in the southern restricted area for our event in autumn. As a requirement for a special stage south of El Borma, a distance of 30 kilometers from the external borders of Tunisia was specified for all activities (see marking on the map). With that we would not have been able to use either the existing pistes near the border to Algeria or the OASIS camp near El Borma. On this basis, unfortunately, there can be no dune stage in the restricted area. But in order to use other, new pistes once again, the longest special stage at 400 km will partly lead through the restricted area. Another highlight of the rally will be in 2022 again the marathon stage with a bivouac at the “lost lake”.

In time at 10:00 a.m. we start today in the direction of Genoa.

On the way there we meet up with the other two teams. Tomorrow around 4:00 p.m. our crossing with the ferry to Tunis begins.

The pre-tour for the El Chott 2022 will take place from March 5th to 19th.

With 3 vehicles we drive all the planned daily stages. Our records will create the basis for all road books for the 2022 rally.

In addition to the actual special stages and the associated transfers, we are of course also recording all the transfer routes for the service teams.

As a special highlight for 2022, we have planned again a stage south of El Borma after 8 years. Keep your fingers crossed that we will get the permission for this special stage in the fascinating dune landscape in the extremely south of Tunisia.

If someone would like to accompany us on our pre-tour in the above-mentioned period, we can make this possible under the following conditions: You are fully vaccinated against covid-19 and you are ready to subordinate yourself in our “working everyday” in terms of route selection, daily travel times and places to stay.

… despite the pandemic, in addition to many business activities, we also held two successful motorsport events.

Thanks to good organization and compliance with all hygiene measures, there was no covid-19 infection among the 150 participants also at the 10-day El Chott rally in Tunisia.

For 2022, we would like to see a little more normality again, so that we can organize our events without restrictions as possible.
